By trade I’m a copywriter – but first and foremost I’m a storyteller. Actually, first and foremost I’m a music lover. Then a storyteller. Then a copywriter. Or is it the other way around? Either way, I have experience in digital, print and broadcast communications for both large and small accounts. I play well with others and thrive in environments that foster creative thought leadership. I’m a confident communicator that both gives and receives direction efficiently as I have held several leadership positions throughout my career. Accounts I’ve worked on include Ford, The Sports Authority, Walmart, Buick, GMC and Cadillac. Technical proficiency includes MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

MARS Advertising, Copywriter [2012-2014]
Works for the number one shopper marketing agency in North America. Collaborates with account and creative teams to develop point-of-purchase advertising, interactive microsites, digital social media, direct mail and broadcast communications. Worked on brands such as Allegra, CVS, Walmart, Target, Big Y, Florida Department Of Citrus, and more. Work for Allegra was recognized with a HUB Award, Reggie Award and Effie nomination. Also participates in new business pitches for potential clients.

Team Detroit, Copywriter [2010-2012]
Works as a creative writer on the Ford Motor Company account – specializing in CRM. Collaborates daily with a diverse team of professionals to develop print ads, digital brand experiences, interactive web banners and direct mail pieces. Writes nationally produced vehicle brochures and assists national brand team with vehicle launch promotions and resulting collateral material. Gained experience presenting creative material to clients.

The Buckle, Assistant Manager [2009-2010]
Initiated the use of services to ensure the longevity of the relationship between Buckle and its guests. Developed daily plans to drive sales based on goals, build brand equity and ultimately grow business. Supervised, coached and reviewed a diverse team of sales associates in order to maintain Buckle’s standard of superior customer service. Assisted store manager with hiring and training team members as well as performing and delegating daily administrative tasks.

ARAMARK, Marketing Intern [2008-2009]
Facilitated the promotion of a yearly market research initiative that resulted in a 9% participation increase over the previous year. Coordinated and managed a weekly concert series at one dining venue resulting in more in-store traffic and increased sales. Assisted marketing director with sales growth initiatives resulting in increased meal plan sales. Managed a team of 6 peer-to-peer marketers responsible for creating awareness of campus events and driving sales of meal plans.
